The most interesting part of it was Charlie Ward....


Ward threw 8 interceptions in 2 games and the fans wanted him replaced. Bowden stuck with him and Ward stunk it up again in the first half with 2 more interceptions. FSU was trailing in the 2nd half and Bowden decided to put Ward in the shotgun so he could see the field better. Ward sped up the offense and lead his team to a come form behind victory. After that simple move, Ward went on to win the Heisman and a national football championship. It took Bowden a few games to realize that his QB couldn't see the field that well.
