Universal is ridiculously expensive. The only way to make it reasonable is to have a Florida ID and get the Florida resident pass. Last year we got the annual pass and they gave an additional 3 months so its not too bad. We won't be renewing because you can only go so many times to 1 park before you completely lose interest. You are right about Universal. The majority of rides are 3d. That way they can pack more rides in a smaller area. But if you get any type of motion sickness, those 3d rides can be hard to go on. The food at Universal is awful. Of course parking is $26 a car. And everything is really overpriced inside the park. The one good thing Universal does is Halloween Horror nights, but even that is like $70. Oh, and if you want to get there fast pass, its like doubling the cost of entering the park. And on top of that, we talked to some employees of the park and they actually have days where it isn't crowded but they run the rides with less people so you have to stand in line. They figure the longer your there, the more money you will spend.
But if you are looking for a good amusement park, stick to Cedar Point. It is way better and cheaper.
