Great idea, and I’ll take that challenge all day. Total opposite bet.

Leaders have HIGH expectations, work their butts off, and literally take no excuses. Except for the ‘hater’ trolls, and there are some for sure, I bet most who have had enough of this nonsense are highly successful.

Those who are an excuse a minute, afraid to make a move, think it’s ok to meander below average for X yrs for some magical rebuild that still has no plan to it, are likely on the other end of the ‘success’ spectrum and would be the large makeup of that side of the fence.

To be clear, I supported this hire - it was the best option at the time to me. But see because I am also prosperous in my life, I also understand and recognize when things aren’t working you don’t sit there and beat your head against the wall. You sack up and CHANGE.

I won’t list my resume because A) no one really cares lol and B) Bill Gates I am not, but I say this humbly I am both relatively successful in the corp realm as well as the entrepreneurial arena. As is my wife. Multiple businesses/companies/ventures. Also married 9 yrs this month with 3 wonderful healthy children (thank the Lord). And we do so in the NYC metro area, which as most know isn’t for the faint of heart - you want to play here you better be ready to get after it. Not the place to go to ‘chill’ and hide behind some whatever gig. Way too pricey to screw around. Our schedules would prob make most heads spin. But we are uber go-getters. And we desire a certain lifestyle, and choose such.

We have very high standards for ourselves, and others. We are fair and realistic, but we don’t have much interest in excuses, justification, laziness, entitlement, etc. Can’t stand quitters. We align with an A player circle so to speak for the most part, and that caliber doesn’t flounder around for long, so our mindset has been elevated by association in that sense.

Don’t get me wrong, everyone experiences failure, we have had LOTS. But we learn and adapt - QUICKLY. We didn’t pretend no adjustments needed and think aw shucks well it’ll happen eventually lol. We do not let ourselves off the hook by blaming others or things. We OWN it all. And we have learned to make decisive moves. Leadership requires such. Make a decision. And then make it right.

P.S. No arrogance here, I am born and raised in the Roanoke region / Appalachian mountains (think Stiney area) - a loving family luckily, but VERY humble beginnings. We have been mentored tremendously in all areas of life - know full well we didn’t accomplish anything ‘on our own’, and we are still very much a work in progress, and will be till our last day. We are very faithful people, so no offense meant here to anyone but we personally thank God every day for our blessings past present and future, and our mission is to give back / pay it forward / and impact as many lives positively as we can.
