Wow. 90+% of recruiting for the top 100 recruits will now be the revenue they will earn in college. May not be $100ks but it will be significant between the haves and have nots. The big dogs will provide cash opportunities in many different ways (not just “likeness” most people are falling for). Boosters now fork over a lot money to go into a big pot of money to the AD. If there money is directly tied to a player - look out. You can say “free market” and “that is what they are worth” but it is going to destroy college athletics as we know it. Will be better for the very top athletes and programs and awful for the rest. Any chance of a program like VT f’ball/b’ball from a program with more cash will effectively be eliminated.
