If that's true, then why are we playing it?
If we have defensive players that are less experienced, less disciplined, and haven't developed trust, and they continue to struggle with the one gap D- then shouldn't the coaches try something different?
To paraphrase a great quote from Bruce Arians, coaches don't have "offenses" or "defenses", they have players.
And for a long while around here, the mantra from certain VT coaches has been "we called a great game, the players just couldn't execute".
