Wasn't there a rule change a few years back about momentum?
I don't recall if it was NFL or NCAA. But I think there's now a rule that if intercept a ball and your momentum carries you INTO the endzone, that's now a touchback. The Farley INT was, of course, the opposite situation. I suppose there's no way to set a rule for that one. I just is what it is. Just unfortunate that the ball is given at the 1 instead of the 20 when the pick was made in the end zone and he wasn't trying to advance it -- his momentum merely carried him out at the 1.
