My kid is on Ritalin, and it's really helped a ton. Not sure how Adderall


works, but his is time release, so the affect isn't sudden. I believe some of the meds hit like a ton of bricks.

I hope at some point he'll be able to manage without it. But he'd struggle pretty badly without it at this point. As he gets older, he'll need to find ways to cope, and he is aware of that. It's just tough at the age of 10. It's very interesting to see him in action, though. Never really had any experience with ADHD.

Agree 100% on overprescribing. One of his child psychologists we saw told us as much. Plenty of parents talk themselves into thinking their kid needs it.
