Haven't tried slotted rotors, but had used drilled rotors on my M3.

They developed stress cracks between the drilled holes from heat cycles, so I went back to solid rotors. When I say "solid" rotors, I'm specifically talking about ones that aren't drilled or slotted. If they have enough mass, they won't have any problem dissipating heat generated by hard braking.

When it comes to BMWs, I usually use Zimmerman aftermarket rotors. They are about as close to OEM BMW rotors as you can find.

As for my Honda TSX, currently leaning towards EBC rotors. I can buy a front set of EBCs for the price of one OEM Acura rotor...lol

I have a set of Hawk HPS pads for the front and rear, so I'm set there.

No idea what calipers I'll go with yet. Powerstop has a very reasonably priced set of powder coated calipers. That has to be a more durable finish than painted calipers.
