Women's lacrosse fall season ended today in Philadelphia.

Once again, Tech played a challenging fall schedule going to the Baltimore area and playing Towson, UMBC, Johns Hopkins, and JMU. They played in Charlottesville against UVA and High Point. This weekend they played Penn and Penn State. John Sung said that the team got better and can't wait for the 2020 season to begin. He announced that he received another "big time" commitment a few days ago but didn't announce the name of the player.

John Sung has commitments from 2 top 60 players for the 2020 and 2021 recruiting classes. The #4 ranked goalie, Lillian Kannapell (Connelly School of the Holy Child in Potomac, MD) is ranked #56 over all in the 2020 class. Kannapell is a 4-star prospect. Katie McCarthy (Ridgewood H.S., NJ) is ranked the 23rd player in the 2021 class. She's rated a 4-star recruit. McCarthy is a midfielder. Incoming freshman Kayla Frank (Moorestown H.S., NJ) is ranked the 37th player on the 2019 class. I expect Frank to start as a true freshman.

The 2020 recruiting class has a few other notable commitments in Tess Moore (Bishop Ireton, Alexandria, VA).Moore is a top 150 recruit. Sophie Student (St. Mark's School, Southborough, MA). The Hopkinton, MA native will play attack for Tech.

The 2021 recruiting class also has a few top 150 recruits in Isabelle Planchet (Bromfield School, Harvard, MA). Her father is the coach of her team. Emma Christensen (Quince Orchard H.S., Gaithersburg, MD) will play attack. Madeline Kinney (Moses Brown H.S., Providence, RI) also an attacker. Blair Guy (Bishop Ireton H.S.) is a midfielder.

John Sung has stepped up his recruiting but Tech is still behind UNC, UVA, Syracuse, Notre Dame, and BC. That may never change.
