Check out Baylor's depth chart: mostly juniors and seniors. Next year Baylor will lose literally half its starters. In other words, Baylor is in the sweet spot of one of those senior-laden cycles in college football. That has allowed them to beat a bunch of bad teams and a few 5 win teams.

Rhule is a good coach but until he beats one of the heavyweights coming up on the Baylor slate he is just a good coach capitalizing on timing. With his background in D he would have been a good fit in Blacksburg, but Bud would not have stayed imo. Fuente's emphasis as an offensive guy means we got to keep Bud (for better or worse).
