Even if an incoming freshman starts in January

I am not sure that is enough time for the freshman to get acclimated to college life and play a sport. I do think it helps on the academic side. However, I am not sure how well early enrollment helps an incoming freshmen find that "perfect balance" if the "demands" on the athletic side during the offseason is "lighter" than when the season starts. In this particular case, I am trying to factor in both how much time a players spends (practice, meetings, weight room, travel, games, etc.) and the amount of constraints placed on a player's schedule.
