Its not that far away


The Big-12 GOR expires in 2023 if I have my dates correct. They will want to sign a new one before the current one expires as a continuation - likely with modifications. If those modifications involve changes in membership all of that will have to be worked well-before unless there is a surprise move in the middle of the night. While that has happened in the past, professionals at highly regarded institutions just do not do that.

For something to be happening for a 2023 expiration date to see a dove-tail of agreement - assuming there will be a new GOR, will have to be starting by Spring of 2020 at the latest and should actually be in the preliminary stages now.

If there is not going to be a GOR, then there is little need to start this far out, but if there was not going to be a GOR, that would be knowledge known on the inside and like I said in my previous posting, there is not one blip of noise inside the Big-12 on this subject.
