I hope this season doesn't turn into last. Purdue is not going to be easy either. Mabrey played great in this game and Sheppard and Cole played good in the second half but it seems like everyone else has got caught up with the current record. If Mabrey ever gets into foul trouble in a game we are going to be hurting. We have to have post play as well as guard play every game to win against good teams. That is the problem of not playing good teams until later on in the non-conference and Georgia really isn't all that good, Georgia Tech killed them. Playing little schools really doesn't do anything but build a fake confidence. I never understood why some teams play tougher teams out of conference and others play a majority of cupcakes. We need to use this game and improve or once we hit the ACC stretch it is going to be a long season. This team is better than that and capable but I am not sure they believe it because of the past. I don't know about everyone else but I honestly am tired of the WNIT. You have to win games like these if you want to get into the NCAA Tournament. However it is still early and this is just the first lost but also the first decent team we have played which is a little scary and the ACC is a lot tougher than Georgia overall. Seems like we still have confidence issues. Been a long weekend for us Hokie fans. Hope we show up with a purpose against Purdue and play a 40 minute game. I have a feeling if that game goes bad it might start another landslide like last year once we hit the ACC. I want better for this team and expect better as a fan for over 25 years.
