Actually seemed pretty controlled to me
He won 3-1 against someone that didn’t open up and DMF got ~3mins if ride time, and escaped from bottom without too much trouble. That seems to be the style for us now, control on top vs lots of takedowns or even taking much risk trying for turns. I believe the theory is it will reduce the risk of being upset and could be the difference winning close matches. The only escape point DMF gave up was when he got out of position trying a tilt.
Nothing to worry about in my opinion.
