The band recorded this in a recording studio in the middle of nowhere somewhere in Europe. They spent 10 days living at the house/studio and were starting to argue because they could not get the song right in 1 take. They said they would get lost somewhere in the song at some point. They finally recorded the song in 1/3's and spliced it together..at the time this was the only Rush song never recorded from start to finish by the band.
