A BHS thing. Many local folks were interested in where he was going when they saw all the offers rolling in. Lots of folks pushed for VT, some didn’t. Being a dual sport athlete and from Bburg both helped and hurt Beck. Some
schools said choose one or the other, some didn’t offer because they felt they would be wasting their time in recruiting him away from VT. A lot has been said of a “late” offer. Far as I know, VT was also his last offer (that he announced).
