I think people were patient with him. Plus, he got a big extension.


I also don't think the offense, which he was brought here to fix, has passed the eye test. The first year was promising with Evans, but since he left, it's been Stiney bad. The program was going in the wrong direction in the last years of Beamer. He was brought here to reverse it, not maintain the status quo.
