It's like real life. Top 10% but that pails in comparison to top 1%.

The FBS has more tiers now than ever. The elites have way more power and money than anyone else. These are the only schools that I think have any realistic expectation of ever competing for a National Championship now:

SEC

ACC

Clemson
Florida State (need a coach)

Big 12

Oklahoma
Texas

Big 10
----------------
Ohio State

Pac 12
---------------
Oregon
USC (need a coach)

Notre Dame (not really sure if they belong on this list)

It's all bout the money now.
