In that situation, UNC tries to run a play where they run the baseline and someone sets a screen for them. Player guarding the inbounder runs over the screener and the Heels get to shoot free throws to tie it. I don't think he knew it was only .4 when he called it, but he wanted to make sure we didn't get a cheap foul and give them a much easier chance to tie the game.
