This is much more plausible than what the Chinese are officially reporting.

They didn't build a bunch of hospitals and quarantine the entire country/shut down the economy for a few thousand sick people and a few hundred dead. Gazillions more of them die and get sick on a daily basis from a myriad of other things. This has them scared. If the Chinese government is scared we should be too.
