and then go hide out at our river home away from population centers. Most of the above I already have ready to go but things like water filters, extra medicines, etc... aren't expensive to procure and won't be available the second you need them (see China and face masks). As for when I bug out I'd pull the kids the second this starts hitting the US hard and I start seeing high/rising infection rates in Virginia. The nice thing about the US is the media is gonna run with the story and the CDC here won't be able to hide anything significant for long assuming they wanted to do so. I'm not all in yet on going full on crazy prepper but it doesn't hurt to have a plan and be ready to execute it if you had to do so. Again... the Chinese didn't shut down the country for no reason. They 100% do not care about an individual dying (or even a couple million individuals). They care about the collective state and they see this virus as a threat to that. That is scary to me.
