Apples and oranges

Oklahoma football has always been in a conference. The question is do they stay in their current one. Maybe so, maybe not.

Do they stay in the Big 12 for easier playoff access?

ND has never had football in a conference in its history (132 years) and has always been an independent.

Why chuck your entire business model and your identity for an easier playoff chance ?

Different situations. Different questions.
