Overheard on sideline about bullpen


Between major league scout watching Brzykcy warm up and the coach of one of the opposing teams — “Can you imagine having that kind of relief pitcher with that kind of stuff and not using him more — no matter what the situation?”

The scout didn’t stick around after just watching Brzykcy warm up.

The staff needs to consider using him a lot more. I know last spring was a little sketchy but he found himself last summer in the Cape Cod League and was named Reliever of the Year and was just named by D1 Baseball as the 14th ranked reliever in all of college baseball.

It they use him just to close, he may not see much action.
