Mensa for me? Wonderlic...

Didn't get any traction to this yesterday but I have to take the Wonderlic for a pending job interview. I had asked if anyone had taken a prep course on it yet and if it was worth it. Well the answer is yes. Take it. For $50 and about 3 hours of time I was able to push my test score 10+ points from the first time I took it to the 2nd after the course. I'm now averaging 40 in the 12 minute prep tests. 38 is supposedly the "Mensa" cutoff. I am definitely no Mensa candidate. It's all a bunch of brain tricks and once you know which ones to avoid its easy to process the questions and move fast. You have 14 seconds a question so getting hung up on some dumb algebra question for a minute can kill your score so better to just guess and move on.

Bottom line... if you know going in you are facing a test like this pay the $50 and prep is my advice. If nothing else you can go in confident for that portion of an interview.
