And I'm willing to wager if they had three seats like in the NCAA finals, he absolutely would have been sitting there.
You'd be surprised how many head coaches sit on the sidelines instead of in the corner during these matches. I encourage you to look sometime. Tom Brands, Tom Ryan, and Kevin Dresser all frequently do it.
I think it says a lot about how much trust they have in their staffs.
