My great grandmother died at the age of 46 from the 1918 Spanish Flu...
She left behind a husband and 16 children. 675,000 Americans (U.S. population was 106.5 million) died from the Spanish Flu and 50 million worldwide. 1 out of every 3 humans (500 million) on earth was infected with the 1918 H1N1 virus. It took 3 years to spread worldwide. 2.5% of those who had it died. Technology will prevent any such pandemic like 1918 from ever happening again.
