Most NCAA schools already get a bailout
Unless you are in B10 or SEC, their programs probably have some student fees included, We are on the low end at about 10%. Look at places like Longwood, VCU, ODU and JMU and you'll see large student fees component %. For example $21M of VCU's $36M budget is sucked up from student fees. A lot of schools have the majority of students with Pell and Stafford money. Then look at the amount of money for Federal Pell Grants and Stafford Loans, and you can get an idea of how a lot of new buildings, arenas and stadiums have been built in the past 12-15 years. Pell Grant money is gone forever and with $1.5 T in loan debt, a lot of that will be defaulted. So if you are a taxpayer you are indirectly supporting your competition every April 15, like it or not
