Lots of compelling aspects to the book.
* A good concise history of Michigan football until 2007.
* A pretty thorough explanation of what happens during a transition between coaches.
* A detailed look at the day-to-to life of an FBS P5 college coach.
* An accesible look at the relations between a coach and university administration, athletic administration, donors, and so on.
I read it during the summer 2015 when RichRod was all the rage about being the guy who would take Beamer's place. After reading it the book, I concluded that he was simply a poor fit at Michigan (as a lot of people would've been) and he would do well here. I was probably incorrect in my conclusion.
In any event, though it's a decade old now, it's still probably the best book you could read if you're interested in what Fuente's life is like.
