Perhaps lawyers being lawyers? The whole thing is very well contained, so


I'd see grease fire as being a VERY small risk, but if someone jerked it out, splashed some grease in a way that it hit the heating elements? Eh, maybe.

I haven't tried anything TOO fatty in it.
