I get the shortfalls and the losses these programs have, but I also believe that cutting some of these sports will have a great impact on less donor dollars and even affect school enrollment. Maybe not in Furman's case, but I am afraid these schools didn't take into account the true impact of shutting everything down and are continuing to make short sighted decisions. Bowling Green also is cutting its baseball program. I read today where East Carolina will be making cuts too. I think the schools that have too many sports (ECU funds 20) almost have to do something but the impacts are far reaching.
