we don't know how the rest of his game (and his maturity) may have developed.
but no matter how good a player is, I have an old coaching saying I like- the minutes (practice and games)- and by extension the points, rebounds, assists, turnovers etc... all have to go somewhere .
so in a way everybody on a team in one way or another can be/should be elevated by someone leaving.
