Tommy and I were in the same class at Norview HS along with Phil Carey, who were both freshman that year. Jonny Watkins was from Norview, but I think his last year was the previous year.

The 4 years I was in HS, we only lost 2 games.....some great players on those teams.

Eddie Vesprille played for Bear Bryant when they won the NC.

John Matlock went to Duke when they were pretty good and had a college coaching career.

Butch Barrino played for USCe and became a Dean there.

Clyde McCoy played basketball for Cincinnati then became the head of Miami's Medical School and was their faculty advisor and later the President of the ACC.

Ken Whitley came a couple of years later and made his mark in wrestling at VT.
