I'd forgotten about this commitment, since I don't pay much attention
to recruiting classes. I did look back at some of the posts from his commitment in April and, as is always the case, there seemed like there was a fair amount of enthusiasm. Now everyone's indifferent to his leaving. It's not a new phenomenon, I know. It's still kind of funny to me to see message board posters get excited about a 17-year old player who commits, be somewhat dismissive when he leaves before enrolling or transferring mid-career, then get excited when someone takes their place - when they should know that none of the aforementioned players were likely to be difference makers.
