BE was big for advancing the program. Without that step, the ACC would


Never happened. We may have been that token 8th BE team, but it was good for all. At the time, annual games against WVA, Pitt, Syracuse and Miami were good exposure. Even BC and Rutgers were improvements to the overall schedule.
