Some of those "open" states are also seeing spikes in cases. The concern


is whether the spike in infections is going to lead to a spike in deaths. It does seem to be leading to an increase in hospitalizations in certain areas. This is not a virus that someone gets and dies a day later usually. It's more likely that the person tests positive, stays at home initially, gets sicker, goes to the hospital, and then succumbs to the virus. That's something that can play out over weeks. It's good that deaths are declining. It's bad that cases are rising and some hospitals are starting to hit capacity.
