Dabs is a salesman (both contributors and recruits) and mgr

Dabo strength is he's a salesman ( both contributors and recruits. thats his skill. He can convince anyone to join his vision. He knows where every mike or camera is and makes sure he's broadcasting.

Actually, tactically he's not the best, (but he knows it) and got the expertise staff to run the team for him. He got the school supporters to pay the big bucks to keep the staff there and get his great defensive coordinator....

A top manager, knows his strengths and weaknesses. He takes advantage of the strengths and mitigate and reduces the weakness. That is Dabo....

VT message is not solid. Fuente is frankly an introvert and not good selling his program (to contributors and recruits). I wouldn't say aloof but more just not out there, with lots of words and marketing the program. Further, the athletic dept doesn't help. their focus on marketing is 'buying tickets' or getting the next contributor, rather than the 'buy into the vision for football.

Mack Brown and Frank Beamer are very similar, They both can sell their program, (Without alot of production like dabs), but solid. Their speciality is the one and one relationships with players families and contributors and media. (however, frank kept his staff too long, and believed the team was better than performance on coaching.) Mack is a little more ruthless.

But in this business, sales is everything.!!!!
