CDC has some excellent info on understanding the data. You should read it.
Deaths INVOLVING the virus last week (302) were the lowest number since mid-March - and were 1.5% of all deaths in the U.S. due to all causes. Which means the deaths solely attributable to the virus is likely much lower. In a nation of over 300 million, this is a rounding error. Almost of the trends are moving exponentially downward except the number of “cases” - which a largely meaningless and misleading stat.
But you’d never know that from the statistically illiterate reporting - and repeating of the statistically illiterate reporting by the statistically illiterate.
