SERTC athletes
▪ Jenna Burkert
▪ James Green
▪ Ty Walz (more athlete than coach is my understanding at least until this Olympic cycle is over, that's why Haught was on the bench more last season)
▪ Ethan Aguigui
Zavatsky and Haught probably get a little money for working with guys/running RTC practices. Tony Gravely was just working out at RTC practices before getting his UFC contract so I don't believe he was an athlete. I remember seeing Ryan Blees at freestyle tournaments this past season with Mekhi and Walz so maybe he was getting paid a little.
IMO, I don't think all SERTC or RTC athletes in general need to have defined roles with the RTC itself or VT. Green and Burket's main focus should be training with our athletes and getting better at wrestling. I don't think Robie/Frayer are expecting to them to do anything else. Same goes for Walz this cycle. I've heard Robie say in interviews that he took some responsibilities away from Walz this past season so he could just focus on himself and his training as he gears towards the Trials. Aguigui on the other hand trains with the SERTC and I've seen him do a lot with the VT program. It all depends on the athlete's situation.
