I hope so, he checks most of the boxes for being a good head coach
1. Successful past career at VT and played a million positions
2. Says all the right things
3. Can relate really well to kids in the program and in VA
4. Very well spoken, good in front of a mic
5. Strong social media presence and great network of ex-players
6. Really smart, we'll see how his defensive game planning goes this year
Honestly VT needs it's coaches to come from the VT family. We don't have the resources to pull coaches or kids from elsewhere so we need someone who lives and breathes it. I love the fact that we're bringing in ex-players and old coaches to hopefully build a long term future coaching pipeline. Guys like Hamilton, Tapp, Prioleau, Tyler, and eventually people like Sam Rogers are the kinds of coaches that can succeed at VT.
