Great admiration for individual sports athletes...wrestling, tennis, boxing


A bad day means a loss, direct scrutiny on your performance, and questioning one’s mindset. Team sport athletes can have a bad night or stretch and have some shielding from public scrutiny especially if the team is winning or you’re a role player.

There’s no shield in a sport like wrestling. You have to have an incrediblly strong mental make up to be successful in a sport like wrestling.
