Sounds like the Irish should have remained in the Big East


10 private schools + 1 public school (UConn), East Coast presence, and complete freedom to create a national football schedule with 12 or 13 (@Hawai'i) games. Plus, I think the Big East is still considered to be a power conference in the remaining sports.
