Actually there have been multiple studies done on teachers

In areas where schools have reopened including Europe and Asia. None find any hotspots of transmission or significant outbreaks of teachers. In fact a research firm hired by the UK government published a report last month on the topic. They did not find one example globally of a teacher contracting Covid from a student. Not one. In the entire world.

We should be able to learn from the many counties that reopened their schools months ago. It appears that not only do young folks not have significant Covid symptoms for the most part but they are also do not spread the disease to those around them as much. Hopefully we can be successful with our reopening but I do think political theater will often run over rationale thought and research as far as school goes.
