I was just reading about Israel

they were doing really well early in containing Covid, and started to open up, and now aren't in a good place. Small sophisticated country with good contact tracing- and pretty much ties it to the schools- kids getting it and then spreading it at home and other places.
Not a perfect comparison by any means to colleges. But I'm not optimistic -a large portion of these kids are destined to get infected . whether many get seriously ill or not is an open question, but I think it is fair to say that they will ultimately cause many others at more risk to get sick. I have no solution my friends- classic rock vs hard place.
