I understand the concern for personal health, but Caleb has repeatedly cited his dad's well being as a primary reason why he's uncomfortable with the situation.

I think back to my days in Blacksburg, I saw my parents twice a year, once at thanksgiving and again at Christmas. Given that COVID is for the most part a 3 week deal (incubation then 14 day quarantine) it would see pretty easy to avoid giving it to loved ones who live 200 miles away. Going home to train just increases potential exposure.
