Whit has been around. One poster noted that he saw him at the construction

projects, maybe a week or so ago.

Whit does play his cards close to the vest, maybe more so than other AD’s. But this is not unusual. The HSF change clearly could have been handled much better. The main problem I see in hindsight is that this was not thoroughly vetted with the lower benefactor donors before it went public, and they didn’t do their homework well. Some of this is on Whit, but in reality TILI should have done a better job. But maybe it was beyond his capabilities. It really didn’t affect the large donors much.

Whit just doesn’t deal with emails to his public email account. Im sure those are scanned or reviewed by someone else and ones deemed worthy of addressing are forwarded to his no public account. Weaver was better at this, but he did the same thing.

Gabbard used to be more responsive. I’ve found it better to email my Hokie Club rep and she forwards the request or “gripe”, etc. to Tom.
