And then you had the Daily Dingbat in Charlottesville which kowtowed to
the BooHoos like a kitten licking up milk for many years. This also included the Worrell’s when they owned the paper getting caught providing recreational drugs to the Hoo players. It wasn’t until the paper had financial difficulties and was purchased by non local media groups that the tide turned and the Hoos could no longer twist the paper folks arms to not report and/or play down the issues in the athletic department, and the academic and medical center as well.
The Richmond paper has/had its issues as well.
