This thread is comical; football over health and safety, not a good look
I'm not going to argue. You can't argue with positions like these. I'll just be satisfied with the higher ground.
We have a kid headed to college as a freshman. The school "plans" to go back, but no one has asked us to pay anything, yet. Because they are waiting until the last second to take money, in case they have to go remote and want to avoid getting embroiled in the $$$. Meanwhile, we have two people who are in the higher risk category in our house (immune suppressing meds, and age). Our kid is thinking about how to not put them at risk when he comes back from school. And is worried about getting his sister sick. That's not what going to college should be about, regardless of whether our son has a less than 1 percent chance of getting sick himself. But that's a bigger picture than college sports.
