Glossy, but the drywall doesn't let it get mirror-like.
I got mine from Home Depot (20 years ago) for roughly $200 IIRC. Maybe less. We saw the finish in an upscale furniture store area. They said the paint said use HVLP and the painter didn't believe it. It took him 3 tries to finally do it correctly.
It took a little practice, but use more air than needed. Just be patient. The finish will let you know when it's right. Watch some TV shows that do car body and paint work. Watch their strokes. Those guys are grate.
Two more things. We only covered 4-5 feet of ceiling from the wall. The spray is so fine it dries before it travels farther. Think social distancing. The other thing. Since the dry paint is so fine, if you do not turn off the AC, the dust will cover everything in the house. We had a dark red tint from the first wall I painted.
I had painted football helmets when Imron was a big deal, and some trucks (dump trucks, road tractor, etc.) before, but if you're patient, it's fun.
