And how about owner's manuals for products made in China? Sheesh.

I just got some ENACFIRE E60 Wireless Earbuds delivered yesterday. Great product. The owner's manual is chock-full of bad grammar, errors, etc., as are most manuals for products that ship from China. Their translators don't write/speak very good English, and they don't even bother to run it by someone whose first language is English.

I used to do a lot of technical documentation, and I once thought of started a technical writing firm, but while I was in the midst of thinking about that, I accidentally started Hokie Central instead. But the whole thing got me to wondering if an industrious technical writer could start a services firm that would serve as the middle man between these terrible translations and the actual market place. It's a service that's *needed*, but I'm not sure that the companies would pay to have it done. They don't care.
