Let's not get carried away with their 6-0 record. I looked at the composite rankings provided by Massey. He determines the average of 36 different ranking models to rank the 127 teams that are playing this year. Liberty has beaten:
#122 Southern Miss who is 1-5 with a win over #116 North Texas;
#127 Louisiana-Monroe who is 0-7;
#105 Syracuse who is 1-6 and beat #97 GT;
FCS North Alabama who is 0-2;
#125 FIU who is 0-3
#110 Western Kentucky who is 2-5 with wins over #118 Middle Tennessee and FCS
Chattanooga.
It is a joke that they are ranked based upon their schedule. Too many poll voters see the 6-0 record and nothing else. The composite rankings have them at #56 which seems about right since they have been winning by decent margins.
I will be disappointed if we don't score at least 45 points or we give up more than 30 points. That being said, this game is their Superbowl and we can't take anybody lightly. This Liberty team is certainly a better team than the ODU team that beat us.
